I love Ginger Scott; she is one of my favorite authors. I
think everyone should read her books- they are crazy well written, always have
really thought out plots, the best character development, and I can get lost in
her books all day long! This story is no different. It is book two in the
series, but different characters- so you can most definitely read it as a stand
alone.
Andrew is the younger brother of Owen, from Wild Reckless,
Harper Brothers- Book 1. Owen tried so hard to protect him, to somewhat keep
the proverbial monkey off of Andrew’s back. But Andrew was absolutely lonely. And
it took one look- from one girl, to take some of that lonely away.
Emma Burke is brilliant and gorgeous, and the polar opposite
of everything Andrew has in his life. Where she is light, he is dark. And for
some reason, she takes the lonely away. And Andrew would do anything for her. But
then, lines are crossed and decisions are made and both Emma and Andrew are
left broken and scarred.
Fast forward five years later- and they have both changed. They
are not the same 16 year olds they once were. Andrew is no longer sweet and
innocent like he once was. Pain haunts him. And he would love to exact revenge
over Emma, but he comes to realize, he can’t ever hate someone he is still in
love with. Emma can’t comprehend that Andrew is back, and so different- but
still makes her heart skip a beat when he is around.
Love conquers all, and that is the message that Ginger
always conveys. And I love her for that. I can’t get enough of her writing. Everything she has written, I have read- and I
