Until I Met You blog tour!!

RELEASE DAY: OCTOBER 23
Their love burned bright, white hot, and strikingly blue around the edges.
Some thought them careless.
Some thought them crazy.
No one approved.
Taylor Barrett was looking for answers in a universe that had abandoned him.
Jude Boehler flooded her dark world with charisma and mystery, drawing everyone into her hurricane.
It was a most captivating of love affairs. They were shooting stars, meteors in the sky, colliding to create a spectacularly wonderful reckless romance, leaving them breathless and tethered.
But that’s what Love does.
Their souls were exposed to the chaos, bare and vulnerable. Can these two star-crossed lovers survive the madness that is life?

My 4 star review of Until I Met You
I really enjoy SL Scott’s books, and I was jumping all over this one from the blurb and the sweet cover. I did enjoy it- even though for me, the beginning was a little all over the place. As I read on, I discovered I enjoyed the characters much more than I did in the beginning, so I feel like everyone should give this book a chance, because after it is over- you have gone through it with Judith and Taylor- or Hazel and Jude as they liked to be called! Broken girl, seeks broken boy- and voila, Until I Met You was formed.

Talk about opposites attracting, Judith and Taylor are so far apart on the spectrum- but both know a little about being controlled by something, or someone. Jude being controlled by her step-father, and Hazel being controlled by his disease. But when they first spend time together, they enter their own beautiful world, where they can just be together.

And their love story is always an uphill climb, but it seems to work out in their favor. They had to really battle some demons to get on the path back to each other. I found myself reading and reading until I was finished, I had to know if they were going to be ok. I had to understand why SL gave them so much stuff to dig through. This book was definitely not a light, beach read- it was intense, and it was meant to be that way. I enjoyed the ride SL took me on. And I am glad to have read it.

Excerpt:
“Do you want ice cream?”
She hit him with one surprise after another, and he replied, “It’s freezing out here. How about a coffee?”
“I don’t like coffee.”
“Wow, a New Yorker who doesn’t like coffee.” Taking her by the arm, he stopped her. “Are you going to tell me anything about yourself?”
“I just told you I don’t like coffee. That’s something.”
He sighed. “I’m serious, Jude.”
His emotional sigh was wearing on her and she gave him the most honest answer she could. “Not if I can get away with it.”
He looked into her blue eyes. Under a bright fluorescent light of a convenience store, he could see they were tinged in green with champagne centers. They were the most unique eyes he had ever seen. She was the most unique woman he had ever met. Now he felt bad for making her unhappy, so he broke his gaze away. “Fine. I’ll limit my questions.” And just to see her smile again, he said, “Ice cream it is.”
She jumped for joy. “I know a great place a few blocks from here.”
“Should we catch a cab?”
“No, I love the snow. It’s magical.”
Looking down the street and then back to her, he started wondering when he’d stopped seeing magic in the world. He could probably guess, but he didn’t want to think about that time.
A half hour later, his hands were frozen but he still found himself eating pistachio ice cream with Jude for dinner. He bought the treats and joined her at a booth where she was contentedly licking her rocky road. As soon as he sat down, she asked, “I think you can tell everything you need to know about a person by their favorite ice cream flavor.”

EXCERPT 2
“I’m going to want all of you. I want all your secrets and your soul.”
She squirmed beneath him, forgiving him of his own sin of denying her his secrets, as he lowered himself. “Don’t you know, Hazel? You’ve had all of me all along.”
He kissed her just above where she really wanted him. Teasing her. “You’re getting demanding.” Kiss.
“I can’t help it. You created a monster.”
“You’re lucky I find you so delectable.”
She knew exactly how fortunate she was. “I am. I’m the luckiest girl in the—” She gasped when he kissed her exactly where she had wanted. “Oh God, Hazel. I’m so lucky.” The tips of her fingers dragged slowly up her body as she murmured, “Lucky. Lucky. Luck! E.”
Shortly after, the starburst whitened the insides of her lids, and she returned the favor. He was left helplessly at her mercy until his body was teetering on the edge of ecstasy and what felt like death. Jude got up and kissed his chest. “I want you, babe, inside me.”
He sat up. “You want me? You get me on my terms. On your hands and knees.”
Her body clenched in anticipation. Even though they have had passionate sex, even some rough, play that was fun, he had never made demands of her. But she liked it. She liked feeling wanted sexually. Positioning herself, she felt his warm palms glide over her back and bottom before she felt a gentle pressure. Her breath was pushed out as he pushed in, holding her steady by the hips.
