When Annie Daschle arrives in New York City, the only thing she can control is her list. Not her father’s death or the loss of her home. Not the hole in her heart or the defective valve that’s dictated so much of her life. But she can put pen to paper to make a list of all the ways she can live out loud, just like her dad would have wanted. See the city from the top of the Empire State Building: Check. Eat hot dogs on the steps of The Met: Check. Stand in the middle of Times Square: Check. Get a job at Wasted Words: Check.
Two things not on her list: Greg Brandon and Will Bailey. And just like that, she finds herself caught in the middle of something she can’t find her way out of, with no clear answers and no rules. List or no list, she realizes she can’t control anything at all, not even her heart. Not the decisions it makes, and not the moment it stops. *Standalone contemporary romance Inspired by Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility.*

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

Exclusive Excerpt:

Cao is eclectic in her choice of clothes. She’ll wear just about anything. Her style makes her unique in her own right. From her jam pants to her leg warmers, she’s a trendsetter. With her tiny waist and tall frame, she can squeeze into just about anything.   “You hate grapes,” I say, putting my fork down.   “Why are you sitting in the dark?” She pops another in her mouth.   Maybe, sometimes, it’s easier in the dark. When the world doesn’t seem so loud, so chaotic.   “Why are you eating grapes?”   “Why are you sitting in the dark?”   “Quiet, I guess.” I always give in first.   She spits her grape out into her hand. “Thank God you caved. My mom made some Chinese meal again for dinner. I gave most of it to Rosie.” Their golden retriever. “I’m starving, and grapes were my only choice in your empty refrigerator.”   Cao’s mom, Beth, has been making traditional Chinese meals for the past three weeks, she tells me. She rests her head on the crook of her arm. “And”—she pauses—“they found my stash.”   I want to say, I told you so.   “When?”   “Yesterday. They waited.”   Cao chain-smokes out her upstairs bedroom window to prove cigarettes don’t cause lung cancer. She claims it’s a research study. But I think she got addicted somewhere along the way.   “My parents think I’m going through some sort of identity crisis. Adopted from China. White parents. Their words, not mine. ‘We want you to feel like you can be yourself, baby. We feel like you might be using cigarettes to escape whatever you’re feeling.’   “So, what does my mom do? She’s been packing me rice in my lunch, and just this morning, I found Amy Tan’s entire book collection on my desk. And the thing is, Amy Tan was born in Oakland. And, if they knew me, they’d know, I’ve already read all of Tan’s books. You’d think, if they wanted me to embrace my culture, they’d send me to some camp in China or something. I don’t know.” She huffs. “That’s me. Now, you.” She stops. “Why are you really sitting in the dark, Liv?”

Tristan release day!!

Title: Tristan
Series: Bachelors of the Ridge
Author: Karla Sorensen
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 25, 2018
There's one thing you should know about Tristan Whitfield: he’s been in love with Anna for years.
There are two problems with that: she has no idea, and she's married. Or at least, she was.
Anna Callahan knows three things about her brother’s friend, Tristan: he's quiet, incredibly handsome, and has a smolder that could set the room on fire.
For years, it wasn’t difficult for Anna to overlook all of that. But when Tristan is the solution to a work problem that could derail her career, he is anything but easy to ignore.
To Tristan, the fact that the object of his affection is suddenly single means he should tread lightly. Be the friend she needs until she’s ready for more and hope the risk pays off.
Because it'll add up to the one thing he wants: her.

Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.

xo, Zach blog tour!!

The first time we met was at a party.

Your ex arrived to show off the person he'd left you for last month, and you asked me to pretend to be your date.

I was more than happy to help. You were attractive, smart and witty--and that kiss we shared? It left me wanting you for days.

The second time we met was in my office on campus where we were both surprised to discover you were the new master’s degree student in poetry that I would be working with. You promised to be professional. I did no such thing.

The late nights and intense study sessions spent alongside you majorly throw me off my game. I want you, and I fight with myself daily over this fact.

I know I'm crass, that my sexual innuendos and dirty mouth annoy you, but I live for those two bright spots of color in your cheeks. If that's the only reaction I can get out of you, I'll gladly take it.

You hate Mondays so every Monday I slip an anonymous poem into your bag and your smile gets me through the week.

I think I'm falling for you, and I know it's wrong. I know that I'm only supposed to be your adviser and nothing more, but here's the thing. I think you're falling for me too.

xo, Zach

XO, Zach is so damn good. I love Kendall Ryan and this is no different. I couldn’t put the book down and I read it from beginning to end in one sitting!
This forbidden counselor/student romance was well thought out and well written. Zach was hot, and his poetry delicious. Poppy was strong and soft at the same time. It was a cocktail I got drunk on and never wanted it to end.
Poppy is just out of a relationship with her asshat of a boyfriend. And when he brings a new gf to a party she is at, she goes up to the first hot guy she sees and asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend. It was kismet- and instant attraction for the both of them- having a really good conversation and mind blowing kiss, she didn’t want it to be over- and neither did he.  The next day Poppy went to meet her advisor for the new school year, guess who that might be?? Dun dun duhhhhhhh- Zach….
I adored Poppy. She is someone I could see being my friend, she is very driven at what she does. And above all- responsible. She is at first reluctant to start a thing with Zach, but slowly he starts to wear her resistance down. And it’s super endearing.
I swooned over Zach. He’s so sexy, and he mouth- the things he can do with his mouth. Not just in the bedroom, but in the little notes he leaves for Poppy too, which are super-hot. The chemistry right from the start between the two of them was to the point of combustion!
Side note- I also really enjoyed Zach’s mother, she was totally hilarious. She has no filter so that made for some really amazing scenes. It was great to show the mother/son bond here- I really enjoyed that part.

XO, Zach was a blast from start to finish- I loved the forbidden nature, I loved the back and forth banter between the two main characters- the side characters were also really well written. The plot had no holes that I could see, and it flowed seamlessly from start to finish. Overall, I really enjoyed this book
