My first review!

My 4.5 star review of Reckless- by Priscilla West

To be honest i have never read a Priscilla West novel, and after reading Reckless- what the heck was i thinking?? It was fantastic, and angsty, and suspenseful. I love a good rock star book, and this was definitely one of them. I am a sucker for a bad boy, that can be tamed- and Jax was a huge bad boy.

As the lead singer of the Hitchcocks, he liked to party hard, without all the drugs- just booze and Babes, that was until he saw Riley at an intimate show at a random bar. He is just a little bit country, and rock and roll. Badass motorcycle rider, and fantastic date planner- a definite book boyfriend for sure.

On the outside, Riley is confident, and oozes sex appeal, on the inside she is still a scared young woman haunted and hurt from her last relationship- I hate her ex-boyfriend and what he did to Riley. Priscilla did a fantastic job describing the prick, and made me hate him- that's an understatement. When she sees and hears "Stud" Jax for the first time, she was electrified. She leaves Jax hanging, literally- and walks out, thinking she will never see him or this band again. Little did she know how wrong she was.

She is a accountant for a firm that handles musicians- and she gets assigned to the Hitchcocks to help get their budget under control.

As much as she tries to deny the pull she has to Jax, she can't any longer- and after some wickedly hot things happen- she and Jax try to have a relationship while she is still on tour with the band.
This book is a bit of a cliffy, leaving the couple in relationship limbo- but its just enough not to make you upset- but to make you want more and more!

I loved Priscilla's style of writing- the plot was well developed, and I was always guessing what was going to happen next. I loved the main characters, and how their relationship grew. and I really liked how Jax turned from a bad boy who couldn't be tamed, to someone who wanted to change for Riley. I also really was enjoying the secondary characters in the band. i think i would have liked to see more of "Jen" Riley's friend, in the story. Because all Riley really had were the band members, and of course they became friends with her, but i wanted to see more of her relationships before. I also really enjoyed the pacing of this book too- i want part two!!

I can't wait for the conclusion of this book for sure! Will Jax and Riley's relationship survive some crazy bumps that are coming their way? Did Riley tame the Stud? Will Jax get over his past? I guess we will find out soon enough!

*I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*
