Title: Tristan
Series: Bachelors of the Ridge
Author: Karla Sorensen
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 25, 2018
There are two problems with that: she has no idea, and she's married. Or at least, she was.
Anna Callahan knows three things about her brother’s friend, Tristan: he's quiet, incredibly handsome, and has a smolder that could set the room on fire.
For years, it wasn’t difficult for Anna to overlook all of that. But when Tristan is the solution to a work problem that could derail her career, he is anything but easy to ignore.
To Tristan, the fact that the object of his affection is suddenly single means he should tread lightly. Be the friend she needs until she’s ready for more and hope the risk pays off.
Because it'll add up to the one thing he wants: her.
"Tristan isn't just angsty or emotional. It's absolutely spellbinding. From the first word to the very last, I was hooked. An epic finale to one of my favorite romance series ever." - Bestselling Author Kandi Steiner
"I devoured this book in one sitting. Karla hit every emotion imaginable. I got mad, I laughed, I cried, my heart ached, and by the end, it was filled with joy. Tristan's story is the perfect ending to an incredible series." - Author Kathryn Andrews
My 4 star review of Tristan
This is actually my FIRST ever Karla Sorensen book, and I feel
like an asshat!! I really loved this book, and now I have to go back in this
world, and read all the guys stories- I want to meet more of these characters
that I grew to love over the course of Tristan’s book. And I also didn’t feel
like I was missing anything by NOT reading them first- which is huge for a
series of 5 books!
If you enjoy slow burn types of novels- this is the one for
you. Tristan has harbored feelings for Anna for as long as he can remember. He
wanted her from the moment he laid eyes on her- and that was before he found
out she was married. So before he could make a move- someone else had her
heart. So he stayed quiet, for years. Quietly pining for the girl he could
never have- until… that girl decides she is finally going to divorce her jerk
husband.
He slowly bides his time to try to win Anna over- and he is
totally a swoony hero. I wouldn’t say he’s is too alpha in the beginning- an
alpha would have asserted himself and just made the move as soon as he heard
she was getting a divorce. Tristan was more careful and concerned with Anna’s
feelings, and I found that to be just as attractive as an alpha male.
I do realize it upset Anna for him to not confess his
feelings- but I think when she realized the why of everything he was doing, she
finally got it. And I just love the two of them together. There are some bumps
on the road to happiness- overall, this book was just what I needed. I can’t
wait to read more from Karla!
Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.
