I enjoyed this book, it was really good. And i really enjoy finding new to me authors- its one of my favorite things. I really wanted to read this book because of the cover- it is so damn beautiful. I didn’t even really read the blurb, but I was definitely intrigued. This is a story about grief and courage- but its also about forgiveness.

This book tells the story of Livia and how she recently lost her brother. Not just her brother- her twin at that. I cant even imagine how she feels on a personal level because I have never experienced loss that severe- but because of the way its described, I feel like I know more of her feeling. See, her coping mechanism for dealing with this grief is basically to lash out and go down in flames. She feels haunted and has no idea what to do in her life, without Jasper.

When Livia feels like she cant get any lower than she already feels, Daniel comes into her life. But really Daniel has his own demons in the closet- so she isn’t sure he can be the one to save her either. This story is truly just a well written coming of age drama, with love and loss spread throughout. The plot flows smoothly, the characters are well written and developed- all in all I rate this story 4 stars. It was very good, and I would recommend it to all of my friends who enjoy a good YA!
