One crazy decision causes her to path to intersect with the sexy, troubled lead singer of Wreckless Abandon. She knows this man will break her, knows she should steer clear of him, but she’s powerless to resist him.

4 star review of Off Key

I really enjoyed this book, and it was my first CJ book- not to be my last, if I can ever live down my TBR!

Branson is the hero of the story, and he is also the lead singer of Wreckless Abandon. He definitely fits that rock star model- easy on the eyes, had trouble with drugs in the past. He doesn’t make commitments easily, and being sober- he doesn’t want to let someone in at all.

Brynn is the heroine of this story, and she is a dancer- she needs to make enough money to put food on the table and that has been hard! She needs to focus on the now, and that means getting her career in order. And then she meets Branson.

She feels a pull with him, like she never has, and they become really close friends. Like best friends really. They try to deny it- and it works, for a while. But then they decide what if we make an agreement, just friends with benefits. They both try it, and instantly regret it because they both feel so much more
This book is alternating POV’s which I love; both characters had a really strong voice. This was a good read, and I loved it!
