my 5 star review of Big Rock
I love Lauren Blakely, and this novel was no exception. She definitely has the male POV down pat, it was hot, entertaining, and it fully kept my attention with all the hilarious banter.
I also really love the friends to lovers concept, its my favorite out there right now. Its so intriguing how it happens, they just never see the best friend that way- and then BAM they do! Or the ever popular one person is in love with the other.
Spencer and Caroline, the two main characters- were hilarious and you could tell they were going to fall for each other.
I mean Spencer puts it out there- literally- all about describing his.... rock. And Caroline puts up with him, which I love.
I was laughing and turning red in the face within the same chapter. It read funny like and Alice Clayton or Tara Sivec novel- but it was ALL Lauren and its my favorite one of hers to date.
Pretending to be in love to close it deal, is nothing new when it comes to concepts of romance novels, but somehow Lauren kept it fresh and new- and I am happy to say it was my first read of 2016- and its number one on my list right now!
