My 3.5 star review of Holding Strong
This a book two in the Ultimate series, the first was No
Limits with Cannon and Yvette- and we see Denver and Cherry, the characters
from this book in this story.
Denver is one of the fighters in Cannon’s gym. He lives and
trains at that gym, but has somewhat made a name for himself and signs with the
big wigs at SBC. Cherry is the roommate of Colton's sister Merissa.
Denver & Cherry are attracted to each other, and they
have been for a while, but Denver- believe it or not, thought she was too much
of a flirt!! It’s funny how its typically the woman who thinks that of the man!
Come to find out- Cherry doesn’t want any of the other guys- she wants Denver! And
then the inevitable happens- they meet up for a fight out of town- and give in
to the feelings they have been fighting.
I love that I got to know more of Cherry. I enjoyed her take
no crap attitude, and she is trying to get over her past, and not letting it
dictate her future. She is a girl that
knows what she wants, and how to go about getting it.
Denver is very intricate and detailed. He is also very loyal
to everyone around him. I like how he won’t give up without a fight.
This book has some cute banter, and a sweet relationship
between Denver and Cherry. And as always with Lori, gotta have some steam. I
was granted an ARC for an honest review!
