My 4.5 star review of Hard
So this was a really short version of a good story. It’s that
old story about falling hard for your best friends younger sister. And as much
as I wanted to give this story a 5, it needed to be longer! I wanted more! It
had a great plot, great characters, and awesome flow.
Cameron and Dylan spent one night together in college, and
have not spoken in ten years. Seems normal right? Only it’s not because they
hate each other- it’s because Dylan’s big brother is best friends with Cameron.
So Dylan has avoided Cameron at all costs. And by any means necessary.
She has devoted her life to her work and now she is getting
ready to get the biggest promotion! She needs to negotiate a deal in New York. And OF COURSE the lawyer
she needs to meet with is none other than Cameron- the man who has been making
her miserable for the last ten years! And while she has been miserable, she has
also really pined away for him, comparing him to everyone she dates. And the
same goes for Cameron- you can tell a war is waging on the inside, because he doesn’t
want to betray his best friend.
Sparks fly, and sexual tension mounts, and this story- short
as it may be- kept my attention and was definitely very sexy. What more could
you ask for- second chance romance AND semi-forbidden. I was totally in love! This
book was genius and I loved it. So if you are in the mood for quick, dirty, and
sexy- check this book out!
